‘How to Stop Holding Yourself Back’
'Don't limit yourself...You can go as far as your mind lets you. What you believe, remember, you can achieve.'
- Mary Kay Ash
What beliefs do
‘How to Stop Holding Yourself Back’
‘Don’t limit yourself…You can go as far as your mind lets you. What you believe, remember, you can achieve.’
– Mary Kay Ash
What beliefs do you have about yourself and your abilities and how might these be stopping you from achieving what you want? How do these beliefs effect your behaviours and what other people think you can do? More importantly, what can you do about it?
In this workshop, we will start to figure this out; to shut out some of those negative self-limiting thoughts so you can get more of what you want.
‘How to Work Out What You Want’
‘Success is getting what you want, happiness is wanting what you get.’
– Ingrid Bergman
All successful organisations have a vision. An idea not just of what they want to achieve but, crucially, why.
Despite most of us knowing this, it’s rare to find people who apply this approach to their own lives and careers. Why? Probably time? Maybe it feels unnecessary…until you realise that you aren’t quite where you want to be and you’re not quite sure why…
In this workshop we’ll explore how to better connect to your values – so that you can work out not just what you want but why you want it – helping you to create a vision that you can feel proud to achieve.
‘How to Get Things Done’
‘The most effective way to do it, is to do it.’
– Amelia Earhart
Easier said than done, Amelia. There are so many ways to procrastinate and feeling guilty about ‘wasting time’ only makes things worse…
So, how do you just ‘get things done?’ The key is to think less about managing your time and more about managing your attention and energy (both mental and physical).
In this workshop we’ll work through some practical techniques that will help you to refocus; giving less of a f*ck (thank you Sarah Knight) about the things that don’t matter and making more space for the things that do.
‘How to Be More Direct’
‘Courage is like a muscle. We strengthen it by use.’
– Ruth Gordon
How many times have you played a really successful, direct conversation in your head and then, when the time comes, ‘bottled it’? How much more time and mental energy would you have if you could just say what you mean more of the time? Lots, probably.
In this workshop we will explore what stops us from being direct, why being direct is actually really brilliant and, most importantly, how to do it without feeling awful afterwards (alright, so the last bit takes practise but this is a starting point!).
‘How to Be Memorable’
‘Life’s a bitch. You’ve got to go out and kick ass.’
– Maya Angelou
Ever wondered why some people are more memorable than others or why some people seem to grab all the attention in a room? We often hear the words ‘gravitas’ and ‘charisma’ thrown around; often with the insinuation that some people just have it and others can’t achieve it. Not true.
In this session we’ll explore the skills and techniques you can develop to make a bigger impact and feel more confident, even in situations that intimidate you…
